Walker was a student at her school at the Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia's Germantown and graduated with the diploma in 1994. After that, she went to Harvard College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. Welker is married to John Hughes a well-known marketing director at Merck in Philadelphia and the couple has two kids. They started an affair in 2014. John, her husband is a year younger than her.
