Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone is an Indian actress who mostly appears in Hindi movies. It is among the top-paid actors in India And her awards includes three Filmfare Awards. Time magazine ranked her as one of 100 influential people across the world in 2018. The award also included by Time magazine with the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone is the daughter of the famous badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and was raised in Bangalore. She competed in national badminton tournaments in her teens, but gave up the sport for the sake of becoming a model. In 2006 she made her acting debut as an actor in the Kannada movie Aishwarya. Padukone also played the dual role as Shah Rukh Khan opposite her in Om Shanti Om (2007) Her debut Bollywood release. The film was awarded Padukone an award called the Filmfare Award Best Female Debut. Padukone received praise for her role as the main character in Love Aaj Kal, but then suffered a short backlash.
